Thank You

Thank You:
For those of you who asked if I had a regular blog in the hopes that you could read it. I do not… but Thank You! It’s encouraging to know people will consider reading my posts regardless of the topic. Blogging takes a time commitment that I was willing to take on for this short trip but am hesitant to take on regularly at this point. Plus a trip overseas gives you so much interesting content to write about.

And thanks to those who engaged and commented along the way, this made it easier to keep going when it seemed like hard work. The end result is that I now have a complete set of posts about my first trip. I hope that they will be a valuable resource to those who sponsor (or are considering sponsoring) kids in El Salvador.

When I first launched the site I had a note up recommending that you don’t subscribe to the site. That’s because I thought I might have to post each individual photo as a new post and if I’d posted 20 photos in a night you would have got 20 emails – that wouldn’t be cool. But I found a way to put multiple photos in one post.

Also now that I’m back from El Salvador I may be posting very infrequently. I may even take an extended break from posting until I go back to El Salvador. Therefore, I’d encourage you to subscribe using the ‘Sign me up!’ button to the right. This will mean you won’t need to regularly check the site for new posts. I’m sure that WordPress will make it easy for you to unsubscribe at any time if you need to.

If you have any questions you’d like to ask about my trip or about Compassion please post a comment and if I don’t know the answer I’ll do my best to find out.

I still have another few of posts planned for the near future; one with 4 short video clips. Another about the timing of God. I still plan to post about the costs of the trip in respect to lunch, travel around the country etc… but it will take time to sort through my receipts!

PS: I have a confession. The layout of this site, where the headers and menus sit, the colour scheme etc… is all from a theme I chose from WordPress. No problem there, however… The beautiful landscape photo you see at the top of the screen came with the theme. I have no idea if it is El Salvador! But El Salvador does have hills and does have a coast so it could be El Salvador? I just thought I’d better be honest about that!
